Correct the drift while it is still small. A minor error does not need to become a burden on your identity.
Hexagram 24
Fu is the return to vitality, principle, and right rhythm after a period of drift. It is not repeating the past unchanged; a small but genuine turn begins a new cycle.
Upper trigram: Earth/Kūn
Lower trigram: Thunder/Zhèn
You may have recognized that the direction drifted, your energy was depleted, or an old method can no longer continue. A dramatic reversal is unnecessary; restore one sound habit, one honest response, or one sustainable step.
Return early without adding shame to the admission of drift. Keep the correction small and regular until the right direction becomes ordinary again.
This supports reconnecting, acknowledging misunderstanding, and rebuilding trust. A reunion only works when it includes new behavior rather than nostalgia alone.
Return to the most important work and restore the fundamentals that were interrupted. An old project can restart if the cause of its earlier stall is removed.
Choose the direction that restores clarity, stability, and real feedback. An option that merely repeats an old compulsion is not a true return.
The turn has begun but remains delicate. Start now without demanding immediate large results.
The lines unfold from the bottom upward, describing one pattern of change from its first appearance to its extreme. If your reading has a changing line, begin with that position.
Correct the drift while it is still small. A minor error does not need to become a burden on your identity.
Return through healthy influence and quiet reflection. The correction can be gentle and fortunate.
Repeated drifting and returning is tiring, but continuing to correct yourself is better than abandoning the effort.
Even if the people around you continue on the old path, you can make the sound return on your own.
Take inward responsibility and make the correction sincerely. A return without excuses becomes stable.
Refusing to return for too long spreads the error into a wider field. Do not use stronger action to hide a problem of direction.
Fu does not automatically mean returning to a person, job, or former version of life. It first means returning to sound principle; the outer form should return only if it can support the new direction.
